A Visual Journey

My interest in art has been lifelong but real life took over!

​

 

I only ever managed to use my creative skills in a more formal setting and only then as part of being a web application developer with long days and even longer nights, adhering to brand standards and the wishes of others.  Those days are thankfully over!

​

If nothing else, the COVID-19 outbreak has given us all time to appreciate our surroundings, to spend more time with our loved ones and to have a new found love of nature.  Lockdown presented itself to me as an opportunity to explore other ways to express myself and pick up pastimes that I'd long forgotten.  I was surprised, to say the least, at the response I received when posting my artwork on social media and the many suggestions that I should consider selling. 

 

Now, after becoming an accidental artist, I not only get to oversee the running of Mucky Pupz Doggie Daycare near Gatwick with my daughters, but I also get to combine my passion for dogs and all things natural with my creative side.  

 

For me, art keeps me present, my mind still and the time to notice the finer details of everything around me.  For the first time in a very long time, I can count my blessings and take the time to just be.  I've worked for a future that that is now my reality, and for that I am truly grateful.
